This version was hand-dyed using the natural coffee cloud technique: the fabric is irregularly crumpled before dyeing, creating organic patches in golden brown and honey tones that are distributed throughout the garment on a cream-beige background. The patches are broad and fluid—not small dots but entire areas of color that blend with the background without defined edges. The result is deeply mineral, like warm stone, like earth that has held the sun. Each piece has its own unique patterns. New versions in this style can be made, knowing that each will have its own geography of tones.

Orilla (shoreline) is the third world of Agua de Sal: the earth that supports, the sand that preserves the shape of each footprint.
