This version of Amara was hand-dyed using the shibori "hole" technique, creating circular constellations in turquoise blue that open up on the fabric like windows to the sea. Each point of resistance leaves a distinct imprint — no two pieces will have the exact same distribution or rhythm. New versions in this style can be made, knowing that each result will bear the unique details of the artisanal process.
