Coral Spiral Tie-Dye Camellia Kimono

This version was hand-dyed with the full spiral technique in coral: from a central point, the swirl lines expand to cover the entire fabric of the kimono, alternating between vibrant coral and lighter, almost soft yellow areas where the fabric resisted the pigment. The result is a garment that seems to radiate light from within — as if it carries within its weave the very movement of the sun as it rises above the horizon. Each spiral is distinct. New versions can be created in this style, knowing that each piece will have its own center and its own way of expanding.
